Hannah Carroll, BA

Student Intern Vancouver and Portland

Hi, I’m Hannah (she/her)! I am a student therapist intern pursuing a Master of Arts in professional mental health counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to understanding and improving the treatment of eating disorders, particularly for those who are often excluded and misunderstood in care. In my work with clients, I love to explore themes of embodiment, queerness, and grief in relationship to the body. Although I tailor my approach to each individual I work with, I often draw upon somatic and relational therapies, while emphasizing a Health at Every Size and body liberation lens. In other words, I support my clients in experiencing freedom in their body, no matter their size, ability, or presentation.

My prior experience includes working in a residential setting for adolescents with eating disorders, facilitating ANAD’s LGBTI+ support group for individuals with eating disorders, working with transgender youth through the TransActive project at Lewis & Clark’s Community Counseling Center, and developing youth programming at an LGBTI+ center in France. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Lewis & Clark College in Psychology and French.

In my free time, I love to dance wildly and freely, learn languages, fall down special interest rabbit holes, and sing my heart out.
