Em Menghini MS, LPC

Em is a clinical therapist at Body Expressions with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University. Her previous clinical experience has been working with eating disorders at higher levels of care.

Em is passionate about helping people discover their true authentic selves in the recovery process while they are working towards reclaiming their life as they let go of their disorder. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Em typically takes a person-centered approach, so she can meet your needs no matter where you are at in the recovery process. As someone who has recovered herself, Em also has a deep understanding of the ambivalence that may come along with the recovery process, and the great joy and freedom that comes when you fully surrender to the process. Em is trained in cognitive processing therapy to assist clients in healing from their trauma. She also operates from a gender informed lens by supporting clients in exploring gender affirming practices outside of their disorder and offering up a safe place for all identities to show up as they truly are. Em’s work is also informed by the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES).

Em relocated from Florida to the west coast after completing her graduate degree and has never looked back since. She enjoys spending time with her partner, 3 cats, yes, 3, and dog. Planning her next concert, relaxing in nature, trying fun foods at a new restaurant, or watching her new Netflix obsession.
